Allow me to share Amazon’s newest Alexa-Charity gifting feature! It’s a new program and it allows people to fully embrace the holiday season and bring smiles to those kids that would otherwise not get much. As an Amazon shopper, I appreciate the options that they give me to not only save, but also to give!
Amazon’s Alexa-charity gifting feature is a great way to give back this holiday season. Amazon kicked off Giving Tuesday this year by launching a new and super easy way for customers to donate a toy to a child in need. This is dear to me as all my blogging years have allowed me to recieve amazing toys and gifts which I donate to less fortunate children in the Dominican Republic year-round! In December, I continue to donate to kids in other countries, but also the little boys and girls that are part of the Toys For Tots program.
Customers can now donate a toy to Toys for Tots via Alexa smart devices by simply saying, “Alexa, donate to Toys for Tots.” This is the first time that customers can donate a product to a charity via voice shopping and better yet, Amazon will be matching customer donations throughout the end of the year – toy for toy – doubling customers’ contributions! That is such a beautiful gesture…
If you’re wondering if by you telling Alexa to donate will make her order a $300 toy, don’t Fret! After speaking the voice command, Alexa will present you with a reasonably priced item appropriate for kids across a range of ages. The charitable organizations curated a list of toys that includes things like Mickey and Minnie plush toys, Nerf footballs, Monopoly games and more, says Amazon . When the customer(you) confirms the order, Amazon will ship the toy directly to Toys for Tots. You can request tracking and delivery updates for the item you pick, just like any other Amazon order, by simply asking Alexa, “where’s my stuff?”
