The motto of the Cricut Explore® 3 is “Shoot for the moon. You’ll make it.” Cricut graciously upgraded us to the brand new Cricut Explore® 3 and we are ecstatic to tell you all about the upgraded speed, added features, and so much more!
With the Explore® Air 3, you get a machine that is more powerful and two times faster than the previous model Explore® Air 2. The Explore® Air 3 now works with six tools (that are sold separately) so that you can cut, right, score, and even embellish your projects. You can cut over 100 materials such as card stock, vinyl, HTV which is heat transfer vinyl, and even poster-board.
A cool feature of the Explore® 3 is the ledge that has been added to make it easier to use Tablets and mobile devices with the machine. The Previous Maker® models already had it, so it’s great to see it added to the Explore® family.
Ever wanted to cut a small design with your scraps? We’ll now it’s easy to know whether or not you have enough material for the project! There is a small black sensor on the machine where the material passes through which records the size of the materials and will inform you if it’s too small. That’s amazing!
Something else that has come along is the new Cricut roll holder which keeps any rolled material aligned correctly for amazing and precise cuts. It also comes with a built-in trimmer that allows you to cut a straight edge every time.
With new Cricut 3 Smart Materials that are available for the machines, it also becomes super easy to just load up the machine and get to cutting. The Cricut smart iron on, Cricut smart vinyl, and the Cricut smart sticker paper, is all available and ready to use without the need for a sticky mat.That’s right… No Mat Needed! But don’t worry, you can still use your other material on a mat if you need to. Cricut Design Space gives you the option to cut with both settings on such as with or without a mat.
