Happy New Year to my readers! 2020 was definitely a crazy one… While everyone was binge-watching and binge-eating, I decided to do the opposite and work on myself. I am most certainly not the type that actually likes to hit the gym. My problem is that I prefer to have fun while I shed the weight… Our Nintendo Switch was my solution!
I’ve certainly lost some weight and gained some confidence with a few of the most active games available for the console and here’s our top 4 Fitness Game picks:
Just Dance 2021:
Just Dance 2021 is the latest in the dance craze game where we get to experience 40 new tracks, along with the titles from all previous Just Dance games (available with Just Dance Unlimited subscription). This is the epitome of fun and what better way to have fun and sweat it out than with dance? This multiplayer game is actually perfect for keeping my daughter active during her breaks while we are still in remote learning! You can get your hands on the game here.
Fitness boxing requires no gloves, no equipment, just you, your Nintendo Switch, and the Joy-Cons! This game uses a rhythmic boxing approach using instrumentals of some hit songs that we know. Fitness Boxing offers daily training ranging from 10-40 minutes and offers both Normal and Fast mode. You get to Jab, Uppercut, and dodge your way through different workouts. I sweat super quick with this intense game and I definitely feel it in the morning. You can grab this game here.
Fitness Boxing 2:
In this 2021 version of Fitness Boxing, you’re getting a bunch of new songs and rhythms to box to. If you have the first version of the game, you’d be happy to know that you’ll be able to transfer your boxing profile to Fitness Boxing 2! You can grab this game here.
Ring Fit Adventure:
Ring Fit Adventure is the most top-notch workout game we own for the Nintendo Switch! No matter how many levels you go up, there’s still so much more adventure to discover. This is the only fitness game that is designed for one player, however, you can play with others by taking turns via the minigames. This game came out back in 2019 and was completely sold out for almost the entire 2020 year! It is now finally available again and an incredibly amazing fitness game! This game allows me to work on many different parts of my body using Shoulder presses, wide squats, jogging, Yoga poses, and so much more. I build up an insane sweat every time with just 12-30 minutes a day depending on my workout level. The great thing about this game is that you can increase or decrease your intensity level each time you turn the game on. No matter what you do in this game, fitness is incorporated in everything and I’m sure you’ll see amazing progress. You can FINALLY find the game here.
These games are not only super fun, but they have definitely helped me break a sweat and help me in my fitness journey. I’m feeling great, I’m fitting into clothes better, and I’ve gained much more confidence. I recommend you get these games and work on your 2021 fitness goals!
