Sonic The Hedgehog Inspired Gold Ring Donuts!

Gamer families, UNITE! If you were a gamer kid back in the 90s, then Sonic the Hedgehog is a character that you know and love. Fast Forward to 2020 and we now have a live-action film making its way into theatres! In Honor of the film, we’ve decided to give you a quick tutorial on how to make a fun Sonic-Inspired gold ring donut that’s a lot of fun to make and looks super great!

But first, a quick synopsis: Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

This is going to be more of a lazy mom/activity for the kids type of recipe so here’s What you’ll need:
* Plain Donuts
* 3 Tbs of Whole Milk
* 1 1/2 Cups Confectioners Sugar
* 1Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
* Gold Circle Sprinkles
* Blue coloring

Blue Frosting: Whisk together the sugar, vanilla extract, and 2 tbs of milk in a medium bowl. If you like the consistency, then leave as is. If not, add the remaining tablespoon of milk!

Dip Donuts into the icing or pour over each donut. Grab your gold sprinkles and shake them over the donuts.

Wait for the icing to set, then enjoy!
