Spring into Crafty Mode with Wonderful Halos! #MTHalosFun

Sharing is caring!

If you follow us on Instagram, you know my Username has the word Crafty in it. Anything Craft related is my life so I was excited to see that MomTrends was hosting a Wonderful Halos Spring Crafting event pop. We were so ready to get crafting at the Children’s Museum of Art in SoHo. Here’s how our day went…

I must actually start off by thanking the Wonderful Halos Company for making this amazingly sweet Mandarin. My daughter is completely against anything food…. or even remotely healthy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Gabriella LOVES Halos. So much so that she can eat 2-3 at a time and asks for 1 each morning faithfully.

Upon arrival, we were led to a wonderful private room that I can only guess is used to host parties and special events, as well as art classes. We grabbed a seat and Halos container and got to work! Upon looking at the different crafts in our craft cards, Gabby decided she wanted to make a “Pumpkin Flower”.  With the help of the staff, Gabby glued, cut, & transformed a flower pot and Tangerine into an adorable flower.

Aside from fun crafting, we got to sink out teeth into some things sweet and savory! I had a Spiced Merry Mandarin Cider  which was PERFECT for the frightful weather conditions that morning. It’s something about the Apple and Mandarin Juice with added cinnamon and other stuff that really makes you feel nice and cozy inside. Then came the Wonderful Halos Mandarin Spring Salad…

To DIE for! These were served in little cups with 3 (optional) pieces of delectable shrimp in each serving. As a seafood lover, I could not pass it up. I am NOT a fan of salads, but the Mandarins and shrimp really created an amazing flavor combination that i’m sure any guest will love. Want to recreate this nice dish? Here’s the recipe:

Overall, we had an amazing time. I plan to head back to the Children’s Museum of Arts here in NYC to take advantage of the Artsy fun. I’ll still have my Halos in tow for us to snack on.

What’s your favorite Halos Mandarin Craft or Recipe?

Disclosure: We were invited to this event as media. All attendees received a gift bag for attending.
