School’s in session! Aside from Mom & Dad, kids need a royal break too. Whether kids are in daycare, preschool , or grade school it gets a little harder to plan playdates. After finally setting the perfect date that worked for both mommy and kiddos, our Sofia the First party / #DearSofia Play date was set to be an enchanted event.

To prepare for the playdate. I headed to my local Target with a $50 gift card in hand and bought a bunch of party supplies featuring Sofia the First, snacks , and food prep supplies. Being that our little guests were 4ft tall and under, the coffee table would be the perfect spot! We used a plastic Sofia the First tablecloth to cover (and Protect) the wooden coffee table.

The setup was a place card printable,”Fill-in-the-Blank” style letter for the kids to write to Sofia , stickers , Tiaras , crowns , and colored pencils.

For party food , we decided on “Cedric’s Wands” ( Franks wrapped in Crescent rolls). These were mainly a hit with the parents. We also had some homemade Crock-pot Lasagna which was a hit with both princesses and parents. “Whatnaught’s Pops” were none other than fluffy white cheddar popcorn. To drawn down all the yumminess, our royal guests could grab a nice and cold “Royal Apple Orchard Drink” inspired by the fun Sofia the First episode in which Aunt Tilly came to visit.

Being that our mini guest were just that, we had Mini “Enchanted” cupcakes. They magically worked their way into the kids’ bellies.

After letting the kids get a bit silly and allow them to go wild playing with all of our Disney toys, I had everyone sit at the table. Being that our Royal guests are either learning to write or a few years away, we let them color and draw in the blank space of their #DearSofia letters first.

Next, we helped them write their names and assisted them in writing what they wanted to tell Sofia. They then got to decorate their letters with Sofia the First stickers that were included in our party package. I let all the girls know that Sofia will be personally writing them back, but it would take her a little while due to all her royal duties like writing story book endings to the many books she finds in the secret Library! The New episode of Sofia the First: The Secret Library is set to debut with Princess Merida of Brave on October 12th at 7:00am ET on Disney Junior !

All in all , I’d say the party was an amazing success. It was the perfect event to let toddlers explore everything that Sofia The first Embodies such as Friendship, Bravery, Courage, Curiosity, Creativity, and Adventure! What better way to end a Sofia the First Party than by exercising little minds and bodies with the LeapTV console and Sofia the First Educational, active video game.

The kids had fun and were sent off with a Bag of “Enchancia Goodies”.

That was our fun and simple Sofia the First Letter writing party / playdate. All letters were mailed out the next morning.

You should go ahead, grab your kids and watch these tech savvy kids answer questions about letters and mailings.
