It was my Gabby’s 2nd Halloween! At first hubby and I feared that she would be petrified of all the crazy scary masks out there, but after one big cry she was fine the rest of the night. Last year, Gabs was dressed as Jessie the Cowgirl from Toy Story 2 and a Scarecrow. This year we went with the loveable Doc McStuffins. What better way to pair up this costume than with a pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins in Neon Pink?
If you haven’t heard, Freshly Picked is a wonderful company that creates the softest moccasins I’ve ever put my hands on! They were featured on episode 518 of Shark Tank…one of my favorite shows. The idea for the Freshly Picked Moccasins came from a mother who could not find the perfect shoes for her son. With no funds at all to start on her new venture, Susan Peterson got creative and talked her brother (owner of a window installation business) into giving her all the old windows so that she could recycle the aluminum. After spending an entire summer busting out the glass and removing thousands of screws from the aluminum frames, Susan managed to raise $200.00 to start the very successful Freshly Picked Moccasin Business.
These happen to be our 3rd pair of Freshly Picked and I KNOW that my daughter loves them as much as I do. I never have to fight her to put them on, they don’t slip off, they look great with Dresses, Costumes, skirts, pants, etc. We can’t get enough! Another thing I love about these Moccasins is the imprint of your child’s feet that form on the bottom from casual wear. She’s had a pair at size 6, size 7, and size 8 which now show me how much her feet have grown.
It seems like every few weeks they have new limited edition designs in stock. I’m a limited edition type of girl, meaning that I like for us to have things that many others can no longer get after some time.
