Eco Lunchbox Review and Giveaway!

Sharing is caring!

Sandra Ann Harris, The founder of ecoLunchboxes had this to say about coming up with her great idea:

“I yearned to avoid the throw-away plastic baggies, the plastic
Tupperware food containers and the plastic/vinyl lunchboxes sold at the
big-box retailers that are so ubiquitous. But as I searched high and low
in sporting goods stores, big-box retailers and online, I was unable to
put together a lunch kit that met my needs. I wondered, “What is the
best way to pack a lunch?” That was when, about five years ago, I
resolved to develop a lunch kit for kids ages 3 to 103… something
healthy for people and the planet.

What I’ve come up with is a back-to-the-basics solution using
traditional materials: stainless steel and cotton. What have I left out?
Plastics. Disposables. Vinyl. PVC. Lead. And, of course, the lunch.
That part is up to you!

I hope you and your family enjoy celebrating lunchtime with
ECOlunchbox Kit. After all, our lunchware solutions are healthy for
people, planet and your pocketbook. What could taste better than that?”

I was recently given the chance to Review The Eco Lunchtray, the Bamboo Spork, and reuseable Napkins (set of 2).

These are toddler friendly products and Although my daughter is only be 7 months old, people still ask if she’s 1 or turning 2. Thanks for being 6’5″ Hubby!

Anyways, I cut up 3 grapes into very tiny pieces and put it in one of the ECOlunchtray sections.

Gabriella Loved it! Not only because it had stuff on it, but because it was Shiny!

The ECOlunchtray is:

  • 100% high-quality, un breakable stainless steel.
  • Plastic-free, Lead-free, BPA-free, Phthalate-free.
  • Will not retain stains, orders, or residues.
  • Not Microwave safe.
  • Dishwasher Safe.
She’s still too young to use the Bamboo Spork all by herself, but I do see it as a great utensil for tiny hands. The spork is High Quality and super smooth. She ate from it fine when I fed her eggs for the first time (doctor approved it from 6mo +)

The last items were Reuseable Napkins (set of 2). These are 100% Cotton, Machine washable, and made in India. Here’s some facts that are printed on the back of the package:
“Deep in the Gajurat desert there is an ancient textile tradition. The Khatri craftsmen use wooden blocks, screens and Wax batik techniques to create eye-catching designs with amazing warmth and lovely hand-worked imperfection.
At ECOlunchboxes, we source the textiles for our napkins and lunchbags at the ground level from these amazing artisans. Please join us in lunching sustainably & supporting these ancient textile traditions.”

Cotton napkins are 1000 times better than disposable one. You don’t have to worry about pieces breaking off and they’re unique! No one will have the Exact same napkins; doesn’t matter if the colors are alike, the prints will have their own printing pattern and beautiful “flaws”.
