Energizer EcoAdvanced Batteries: Breath new Life into an Old Doll!

As a blogger, we tend to get many toys around the holiday season. Most require a whole bunch of batteries. We can search everywhere for Eco friendly options that are long lasting and only 1 brand will be the chosen one. Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ AA and

The amazing thing is that these batteries can last up to 12 years in storage. If they last that long, I can only imagine how long it lasts while in use. I decided to give these batteries a try on our 10 year old cheerleader doll that use to belong to my now 11 year old niece. She was VERY loved.

I headed out to The Home Depot and streamlined to the checkout. I looked at the selection of batteries, but only Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries caught my eye. EcoAdvanced batteries are available in AAA and AA. They are the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries! Being that we always try to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, These batteries felt like a prize. By the way, have you noticed that batteries are ALWAYS at the front end of a store right by the cashiers? Super easy to know where to go on quick battery runs. 

1. First I started with some tender cleaning using disinfectant wipes. It removed lots of grime and dirt from the doll’s adorable face. I tried to remove some of the outfit stains, but there are some “play scars” that just don’t come off.

2. I moved on to her Battery pack, I took out the 10 year old batteries which had surprisingly left NO acid erosion, and replaced them with the wonderful Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries. You seriously have to Try it! to see how great they work.

 

 

3. After the battery pack is back in, time to tame the doll hair. surprising what a little conditioner does. 

She’s Finally ready to play! When my 2 year old wakes up, she’s going to have lots of fun playing with her newly refurbished doll!
